Grand Final For Victorian Global Innovation Challenge

M·CAM was honored to sponsor and provide innovation engineering and technical support for the Centre of Applied Innovation‘s 2017 Victorian Global Innovation Challenge, which concluded with the Grand Final last night in Melbourne.

The winners of the 2017 VGIC were the team from Ivanhoe Girls’ Grammar School who designed a solar-powered, heated scarf for the homeless population. Runners-up were the team from Parade College who created an online environmental monitoring platform. Congratulations to the winning teams and to all the participants for putting forth amazing solutions to some of the world’s most complex problems.

The students’ Challenge solutions were judged on their ability to integrate ideas from a variety of sources, including patents found in the Global Innovation Commons’ repository of over $2 trillion worth of publicly-accessible innovation.
